Hi! My name is Mariana Flores and I'm an author and illustrator from Portugal.
My background is in animation, but I soon realized that my heart belongs to books. So I went back to school for an amazing post-graduation in Children’s Books.
As an illustrator I have worked on many titles, including picture books, middle grade, educational, comics and YA.
As an author, I'm working on several books and hoping to have them published soon!
I just don't remember a time when I wasn't making up stories. My earlier sketchbooks (age 3!) are filled with drawings and next to them, the stories I would spell out for a grown up to write.
I've also worked for the game industry (both doing card & board games and doing digital games) and for animated shows.
I love animals and nature so me and my husband share our country home with our two dogs, three pet rats, a lovebird and too many chickens (I might get some more).
